MIDA x BFM Documentary Series
Commissioned by the Malaysian Ministry of International Trade
In March 2018, MIDA approached BFM for a potential video collaboration series that can highlight and humanize the impacts of investments backed by the government and MIDA as a government agency toward the very demographic that these investments are supposed to benefit to begin with: the Malaysian people.
MIDA was mostly interested in framing this impact through human-interest stories, and mainly focused on the Malay-speaking demographic.
What came from it is a 6-part video series and a 360 digital campaign on social media platforms. The series comprises of four short documentaries and two explainers about economy and investments literacy, and the spillover benefits that come from these activities to the Malaysian people. I was the lead producer, shooter, and editor for this series, from leading the reporting grunt work to client-facing activities. Full series is here.
